Internet Soap Operas

by fictionteller — Categories: Gaystoryman Opinions, Rambling OnLeave a comment

Do you frequent many online forums or chat rooms?

I really don’t, but I do visit a couple of adult webmaster forums to check on latest news & techniques but lately they all seem to be nothing more than a text soap opera. I mean seriously, accusations galore on many of them about this one or that one.

Then too there is the whole ‘who is telling the truth’ nonsense that some seem to play online. I mean it really is starting to make me wonder if truth is stranger than fiction that way some go on. Like everytime someone asks if they are experiencing a summer slow down, there are the obvious liars who come galloping in extolling their sales. Course just the other day they were whining about how slow things were.

So why is it that when people get online they feel the need to lie so often and so transparently? I mean they simply aren’t even good liars or so it seems. One thing to give an opinion, but when you disagree somehow you find yourself under attack.

Not sure if that is a spill over from the day to day life or just that people are becoming less tolerant than before. Odd, because I notice even my own capacity for patience has dwindled considerably lately. So is it the world events or something else?

Welcome to our General Musings

Okay so this is a relatively new blog and this particular section is going to be devoted to some simple musings, general random thoughts about life.

Hopefully it will be interesting to some of you but heck, if not it at least will be an exercise in writing for me. In  case you haven’t figured it out yet, I do love to write about a wide range of topics. So fasten the seat belts as we get ready to do some musings on things and life as I see them.

After all it is My blog.

200 over 110

by fictionteller — Categories: Bite Me!Leave a comment

Welcome to Bite Me!

This is where we get to sound off and so do you as well. Your comments are welcome as we explore those things that just naturally bring the blood pressure up to the danger level, hence our title.

I mean it seems that daily there is some idiot out there who cant see the forest for the trees. It is amazing at how common sense has withered these days as war rages across the globe and yet it seems governments are more concerned about kissing babies than making a difference. I mean hell, there are still people waiting for trailers one year after hurricane Katrina left them homeless!
Somehow, I get the feeling that this is gonna be a most posted section of our blog. I mean come on, the Americans have George Bush and we have Stephen Harper and Britian has Tony Blair.

Like that alone is enough to get the blood at 200 over 110!

Quest for Immortality

by fictionteller — Categories: Old AgeLeave a comment

Welcome to the Rocking Chair & Shawl Discussions.

An unreasonable search but one none the less we seem to continue with no matter the odds. Part of our spirit I suppose in an insane drive to remain young and alive. Fact is, just as birth is a constant, death is as well.

Yet in all honesty, we tend to ignore death and concentrate on growing younger. We try to fool ourselves into believing that some miracle cure exists that will keep us alive & youhtful. Whether it is some age defying cream or pill, we all strive for that magic bullet. Fact is, there just isn’t one.

When we are young, we feel like we can conquer the entire world, that nothing can happen to us. Yet in reality, teen age suicide is a growing trend and dangerous fact of life that seems to go unnoticed by many. It also makes a lie of the adage that time heals all wounds.

What happens when you remove time from the equation?

I am 51 and David is 29 and there are indeed differences that become more apparent as I grow older. So this section is going to be about those differences, about growing old. Maybe for someone it might make a difference, but if not, well writing is what keeps me going, so I suppose that is why one more blog is added to the list.

Enjoy!

Growing Smaller

by fictionteller — Categories: World ViewLeave a comment

Welcome to our View on the World

It does indeed seem like the world is growing smaller as things we do here does have an impact elsewhere. So we figured we should make this our little corner where we can discuss those issues that happen elsewhere, but effect us eventually here.

Whether it be the Pope visiting Spain or the War in Iraq or the failed missile tests by North Korea, this is where we will discuss it and hopefully be able to make some sense out of it all. Course will increased isolationism growing in the states, it is also a place to show why we truly are a global community and burying out heads in the sand won’t help.

Feel free to post your own views or comment on our rather ascerbic one’s. I mean hell, its great to have an opinion, a nice old fashioned debate does more to keep the juices flowing than some prune juice can.

What Are They Thinking?

Welcome to our Tushie Awards

tushie awards

Here we will review a whole host of things, such as books we have read, movies we have seen and even some DVDs that we have rented.

The idea here is to give you an insight of what is out there, to help you determine if you want to watch it. Whether it be a show on television or a movie in the theatre or off the video shelf.

Keep in mind, these are our opinions only. Course you will get maybe two for the price of one as I will include the wife’s views as well where they differ from my own. Also you will find ‘links’ to those items such as DVDs and Movies where applicable. Hell, we gotta make a buck too you know.

In addition we will include Adult Rated Material which will include pay sites that we have visited or seen. For those who own such sites and wish to have them listed here, be warned. We are not going to compromise our views simply to push a product. If your site sucks, we will state that.

Life is just too short for bullshit, so enjoy and hopefully we can save you some time & money with these reviews.

Ian.
