Welcome to the Rocking Chair & Shawl Discussions.
An unreasonable search but one none the less we seem to continue with no matter the odds. Part of our spirit I suppose in an insane drive to remain young and alive. Fact is, just as birth is a constant, death is as well.
Yet in all honesty, we tend to ignore death and concentrate on growing younger. We try to fool ourselves into believing that some miracle cure exists that will keep us alive & youhtful. Whether it is some age defying cream or pill, we all strive for that magic bullet. Fact is, there just isn’t one.
When we are young, we feel like we can conquer the entire world, that nothing can happen to us. Yet in reality, teen age suicide is a growing trend and dangerous fact of life that seems to go unnoticed by many. It also makes a lie of the adage that time heals all wounds.
What happens when you remove time from the equation?
I am 51 and David is 29 and there are indeed differences that become more apparent as I grow older. So this section is going to be about those differences, about growing old. Maybe for someone it might make a difference, but if not, well writing is what keeps me going, so I suppose that is why one more blog is added to the list.
Enjoy!
