Is It Racism?

You know, the more one listens to the various Media Outlets, the more one has to wonder if this election will evolve into one of Racism, or Sexism. I mean if Obama wins the Democratic Nomination, will Race become the over riding issue between the parties? And what if Clinton steals the nomination, will it then evolve into a He versus She contest?

Given how in the last couple of primaries, where there are a high proportion of white low income voters, Hilary Clinton took a huge majority of them. So is that due to those folks believing her over Obama, or was it that he was Black?

Unhealthy Hamburger

Did you catch the weekend recall of hamburger?

Course the real issue isn’t that more and more products get recalled, but that it seems the various levels of Government are doing absolutely nothing to keep us safe.

Obama Wins SC

It is a big day in the States. Barack Obama has shown he is a winner, and that should shake up the ‘good old boys‘ a little. What it means for Gays in the United States? Darned if I know, but it can’t be as bad as it has been under George Bush or would be if someone like Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee were to win.

Teach Them Hate

I always believed that the role of schools was to inform, to educate about differences and about certain known facts. I never thought it would be to teach Hatred, and yet so many it seems believe that is the exact role of schools today. Take the story out of Brisbane Australia.

Evangelicals and conservative politicians are up in arms after a 13-year old girl received a failing grade for refusing to do an assignment on homosexuality ( full story )

Right there is the first part of this part of this whole problem. Is this an assignment about Gays or something more? The headline naturally lures us in because it says a girl is flunked for not turning in an assignment on homosexuality, and technically yes, but that isn’t what the assignment was truly about. It was about educating the kids on minorities, and how differences make their own contributions. It is about bullying as well.

Students in the grade nine class at a high school south of Brisbane were asked to imagine living as a heterosexual in a mainly gay colony on the moon. The assignment was aimed at teaching students what it is like being in the minority. (story)

It is amazing at how an assignment designed to show differences, to illuminate that only by a twist of fate one could find themselves in a minority, that suddenly it is about upsetting one’s religious morals. So I wonder, if the class assignment was about aboriginals and not gays, would those same parents be as upset as they are now?

This is the problem, if you substitute any other minority such as Black, Latino, Asian, Islamic, would these same parents be so upset. Would that 13 year old girl have refused to hand in her assignment? I mean think back to just over 50 years ago. It was an accepted believe that African Americans were derived from Monkeys and not even part of the human race in many southern States of the United States. Indians were considered heathens too, and so I wonder. How did they ever advance to where such thoughts today would cause a huge debate, would have people calling those people racists, demons, bigots, but if it is about homosexuals, well, they are just good God Fearing Christians standing up for their beliefs.

Give me a break.

Racism is racism, no matter how you cover it up or with what fancy politically correct phraseology. The girl is being taught to hate because some others are different, that is the bottom line. The school system was doing its part in attempting to change that, to end the generation of hate that seems to be boiling over all over the world.

The reason children aren’t learning how to read, write, or add has nothing to do with ths either. This is about kids going on rampages calling others fag, bullying and hating because that is what they are being taught. Each and every time some parent slams people of differences, Gay or other, you show the children that hate is good, that opposing it is evil, and so another generation of hate mongers is born, raised, and set loose on the innocents of the world.

It is this thinking that has led to terrorism and wars all over. This is why the Congo is in dire straights, after all do you really believe that it would be ignored for so long if the majority of people where white?

Obsessed with Sex

Kind of makes you wonder if perhaps the United States Congress, Department of Justice (specifically the Attorney General) and El Presidente Bush are not just a bunch of wankers who don’t get enough one on one action. I mean they way they mis-use the legal offices of say the FBI and others to pursue with reckless abandon all us evil Adult Webmasters.

In a trade publication, AVN Online they report on the FBI beginning at long last the industry’s anticipated visitations on compliance with 2257 record keeping. In case you aren’t sure what I am talking about it is just one more instance where the US Congress has decided to flex its muscles on ridding the world of those evil predators, the hated Pedophile.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like them either but I question the methods. I mean let’s be honest, a pedophile is not going to keep proper records if any, so forcing honest business people to keep names, addresses, and other personal information on performers is not only stupid, but dangerous. I can see the guy shooting the pictures, videos, needing that information, but the average Joe running a website?

So let me see, if I sign up for XXX Photo Content I am required to get all the personal information of the models or risk going to jail, assuming that XXX is a USA based company. NIce but what if by some odd chance I am a stalker or worse, and just want to find a victim? The USA makes it oh so easy now thanks to 2257 requirements, but hey it gets better too.

The Congress has also passed what is being dubbed the Adam Walsh bill that sets up a database that anyone can use to verify the whereabouts of a registered sex offender. So now let’s say I am not a stalker but some zealot who thinks the criminal system let these folks off too easy. Easy to find them now and give them old fashioned Justice thanks again to Uncle Sam and his minions on Capital Hill.

Course at the same time, research into Stem Cell that could cure a person with a spinal injury and other illnesses is Vetoed by Herr Bush. Guess we know where his priorities are, in Sex and not in Health.

Non USA companies of course don’t do that, so in a sort of round about fashion, the US Congress limits the competition too. I mean as a US Webmaster you need that info or go to jail for 5 years I believe, so what you going to do?

Odd isn’t it. The material isnt illegal but a USA Webmaster can do hard time simply because he/she doesn’t have the proper documentation. Crazy world I think.

Like why not go after the negligent parents? Just a thought

Mind you this at a time when known drug kingpins, terrorist wannabees, illegal immigrants, thieves, murders, and such can walk across the Mexican/USA border with wild abandon. Hell even when picked up they are back in the USA within 24 hours as in the case in Los Angelese. Or how about the case of the Arizona Sherrif who is forced to release convicted illegal immigrants because the feds haven’t bothered to investigate the people convicted.

Talk about ludicrous.

I suppose the biggest piss off is here is the FBI spending valuable resources insuring that open and above board companies have proper paper work. They are understaffed in looking for the thousands of supposed Terrorists in the USA but they got manpower to go after the Adult Industry.

With Bush’s attack on the entire adult industry, it kind of makes you wonder how he ever had three children given his hatred for sex.

One, Two, Three, and …

So it really is interesting trying to lose some weight. So far, knock on wood, I have managed to more or less keep to the diet of just cutting back on the portions rather than anything specific, like calorie counting or whatever.

In looking at this, I know I need to also exercise more and with a 9 month old pooch around, that perhaps should be easier to do than it is. I suppose part of it is being lazy, but also I think it is the conditioning.

No, not pumping iron conditioning but that of society itself. I mean somehow there just doesn’t seem to be time to get out and take the pooch out. Now Dave does in the morning but I kind of want to take to her out at night just never seems to be time.

By the time I get the next day’s groceries, do the after dinner routines, it is nearly time to head up and spend time with Mom. When that is over, time for Dave to head off to sleep for work in the morning. So I suppose I could go then, but I keep putting it off, and to be honest I would rather go with Dave along. Selfish I suppose but I do enjoy his company even though we been married for eons it seems.

Maybe I can get my fat ass in gear to re-arrange this so I can get out with the dog and Dave. Should help and somehow I figure I should too. 

Baking

Man this is weird I think. Talking about what one is doing each day is sort of, well odd when you consider youself basically shy and an introvert. Oh well guess that is the price of being a webmaster, you sort of change as time goes on.

So I figured tonight I will bake some bran muffins. Going to throw in some thawed frozen raspberries in along with golden raisins. I prefer the golden as they are juicier and taste better. Strange thing is that I really am not much of a baker these days. Used to make cakes & stuff but somehow, ever since Dad passed away I havent’ done much baking other than muffins.

Guess to with trying to lose some weight not a great past time either. Though why should Mom and Dave suffer? Not fair but hell, life isn’t fair either. Though I think some nice bran muffins are in order. I mean it is something I won’t mind munching on for the morning and hell of a lot better for me than say some pre cooked sausages or bacon.
