I love to write, I don’t know but it just seems so natural, and I guess I feel like I have a lot to say.
I also think others enjoy reading the stories and novels as well.
Like when I hear about survey’s/polls that talk about how only 30% of Americans are comfortable with Same Sex Marriage, it makes me think of what I have written. Like the novel The Secret, and how a nineteen year old believes the world has no hope, no future for him, so he tries to kill himself. It isn’t far fetched, it happens too often in our society.
(CBS) Most Americans continue to think there should be some legal recognition of gay and lesbian couples, and 30 percent say same-sex couples should be allowed to marry - the highest number since CBS News began asking this question in 2004. (source - CBS News)
While The Secret is set in my own home town, I think it is indicative of any town in North America. I know the struggles Gay’s have had up here, and while I like to think Canadians are more accepting, we have our own homophobia types too. Heck, our Prime Minister is one, and like his hero George Bush, he too likes to cloak his racism behind Religion.
If you take the time to read The Secret, I think you will find that what I am saying is true. I also think that if you aren’t Gay, you just might come to understand why Gays are fighting so hard for it to be Marriage, not Civil Unions.
